THE FUTURE OF CHIROPRACTIC IS ON THE LINE – AND WE MUST ACT NOW

This past weekend, we came within ONE SINGLE VOTE of losing the most fundamental part of our profession. Montana House Bill 500 (HB 500), which would have allowed chiropractors to prescribe drugs, was defeated by a razor-thin margin of 50–49.

That’s not a victory. That’s a warning shot. 

Worse yet, only three chiropractic schools—out of twenty-one—took a stand against this bill. Three. That tells you everything you need to know about what’s happening in our schools. The movement to rid teaching of the subluxation, innate intelligence, chiropractic adjustment, etc. is well on the way to completion. 

Students aren’t getting the chiropractic message. They’re being fed a watered-down version of what chiropractic truly is. If this trend continues, the outcome is inevitable: chiropractic as we know it will disappear within a generation.

For years, Chiropractic Foundations has stayed in the realm of education. But this moment makes it clear—we are at a tipping point. If we don’t step up, speak out, and take action, we will lose everything the pioneers of this profession fought for.

Chiropractic Foundations is not in the political business. But because of politics, it was formed, and is the reason it exists. To teach the next generation what they aren’t being taught in school. To give them the knowledge, tools, and support to practice principled chiropractic—without compromise. You know, the way we learned it.

Doctor, chiropractic is in dire straits. We have to band together now more than ever. We need to reach students, doctors, and colleagues who don’t even realize what’s happening and what’s at stake.

Here’s how you can help:

1️⃣ Tell every chiropractic student and doctor you know about Chiropractic Foundations. Let them know there’s a place where they can learn what it really means to be a chiropractor.
2️⃣ Share this message in your networks, your groups, your conversations. Spread the word like your practice depends on it—because the future of chiropractic does.
3️⃣ Be the mentor you once needed and had. We all had that one person who set us straight, who helped us see the bigger picture. Now it’s our turn. But if we don’t show up and pass the word on, it will simply disappear. 

The reality is stark: if we don’t act now, the next time a bill like this comes up, it could very easily pass, and we’ll lose everything we’ve fought for since Dr. D.D.’s discovery. I’m not willing to go without a fight! 

This is our moment to become the leaders in our profession. Let’s not waste it.
