Robbie King: Business Leader, Entrepreneur, and Advocate ForĀ Personal & Leadership Development
Robbie King's career spans over three decades, and reflects his multifaceted expertise as a corporate leader, entrepreneur, and community advocate.
Robbie retired in 2015, as Regional Director for Comcast Business Services.Ā Robbie & his wife Marsha then established Belair Donuts & Coffee, fostering community spirit through entrepreneurship until its sale in 2019.
Robbie's dedication to unleashing human potential led him to found Lead Augusta, where he worked to inspire leadership development and self-improvement.Ā He became an Executive Program Leader with the John Maxwell Team, training in leadership development and communications skills.Ā His contributions through The Clubhouse, 1 Million Cups and Young Men on the Move programs, as a coach & mentor, have left indelible marks on emerging leaders.
More recently, after moving to Lake Oconee, GA, Robbie founded āLead the Lakeā, continuing coaching, training and speaking with the John Maxwell Team, as well as taking on the role of Director of Business Engagement, for the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce.Ā There, he champions the substantial business growth potential in the Lake Oconee area, driving forward his philosophy that increased business engagement leads to increased prosperity for everyone.
In the spirit of community, Robbie is the founder and host of the popular āLure of the Lakeā podcast, which highlights and features individuals, organizations & businesses, who life stories are both interesting and inspiring.
Robbie is an early adopter and has become a leading advocate for the use of AI in business and personal productivity.Ā First, as a learner and then an instructor, he facilitates workshops and provides coaching on leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT, aiding individuals and businesses to capitalize on this cutting-edge technology.
Outside of business, Robbie is a member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Greene & Putnam Rotary Club, Board of Directors for Leadership Putnam and
attends Lake Oconee Church. His hobbies include boating, reading, investing, golfing and pickleball, often shared with his wife, Marsha.Ā The couple enjoys travel, social gatherings, and the pursuit of picturesque sunsets by the lake.
At home, Robbie enjoys his family, surrounded by love and laughter, which now includes six grandchildren and a dog with a vibrant personality.
